Geotagging and the Mac (1) – Basics » EXIF Geodata in MacOS Preview
MacOS Preview displays geodata as a world map with crosshairs and a button to launch Google maps. For this part of the EXIF header, Preview displays a separate GPS tab.

I refer to the following page: http://studio.messlinger.com/2009/02/25/geotagging-and-the-mac-1-basics/exif_display_preview/
Can you explain how you obtained the Preview ‘More Info’ window shown on that page? I am running Snow Leopard, but cannot find how to display the GPS etc. information. :-(
Thanks and regards,
Martin.
Hi Martin,
it is very easy: open the image in Preview, then click CMD + i (or choose Tools > Show Inspector from the menu).
Please note, that the Inspector panel only shows tabs for available information. For instance, if you don’t have geotag information saved with the image, the GPS panel won’t show.
Best,
Klaus
